KOHL REINTRODUCES BILL TO END UNFAIR RAILROAD MONOPOLY POWER

On January 6, 2009, US Senator Herb Kohl (WI) unveiled legislation to repeal antiquated antitrust exemptions unfairly protecting freight railroads from competition.

Sen. Kohl was joined by Sen. Rockefeller (WV), Sen. Dorgan (ND), Sen. Feingold (WI), Sen. Schumer (NY), Sen. Leahy (VT), Sen. Vitter (LA) and Sen. Klobuchar (MN) in introducing S. 146 (pdf) in the 111th Congress.
